physics.usf.edu Review:

USF :: Department of Physics - Department of Physics USF; As physicists, we intellectually strive to understand the fundamental principles underlying our physical universe, and the applications of those principles to better the human condition. The growth areas of the future that will critically affect our national competitiveness on the global level and provide the engine for economic prosperity will undoubtedly revolve around improvements in the quality of human life. This includes advances in our understanding of physical well being, our ability to improve global communications and information transfer, and a better understanding of environmental issues. Advances in fundamental knowledge in these areas need to be coupled with their applications to realize ultimate benefits. In this regard, applied physics provides the bridge between theoretical, fundamental physical concepts and their practical, engineering applications. Our emphases on materials physics, biomedical physics, and environmental physics, with laser physics, computational physics, and imaging science as enabling technologies, is responsive to these needs.

  • Amazon Customer - Usable and fun, but poor quality

I am a cyclist with several high-end bikes and while I did not expect high quality from this Kinderbike, I would have liked better manufacturing and assembly. My kids will have a lot of fun with this bike, but I cannot say that it is well made.

  • James Wright - I upgraded to this TV after walking into a Best Buy randomly to look at washer/dryers

I upgraded to this TV after walking into a Best Buy randomly to look at washer/dryers, not knowing 4K existed, and being blown away by how far television technology had come since I was last on the market. I stood watching TV's for an hour, and had to have one. Luckily for me, I hadn't bought a TV for about 7 years, and upgraded from a cheap 32" Samsung that was only 720P.

  • Charlotte Arzola - Priceless Resource

Over 2,000 options made available in one handy book. Hopeful we'll find SOMETHING that can help cut college costs.

  • Mad Mommy - Do not waste your money on this photo album of children with tons of makeup to look 20.

It is a magazine that consists of no sponsors. It would appear the children in the magazine are done up way beyond their years. I bought the magazine because a friend said they were featured in it and to my disappointment there was no informative reading. The outfits on the models were too "mature" for these children. The girls in the magazine and cover are less than 12 years old solicited as models. When we contacted them about their models out of concern, we were told they are placed in the magazine by paying parents and are looking to be discovered. Very disappointed in contents of this magazine and lack of good reading and sponsors.
