I have used Ernst & Young Tax Guide for years. It seems bigger and heavier,no thanks to the burdensome tax laws. I am nearly sure that everything you need to know is in there somewhere. There is so much of it, that finding it was more of a problem this year. My first need was a copy of the forms like 1040, and Schedule. A. Useable copies are not in their book.. What about giving a list of places they can be found? Better still, why not sell the book with a computer disc that is easy to use and on which forms can be captured with two key strokes? That would have saved me trips to the local IRS office, library, post office etc. who said they had no forms and I would have to order them, to trying to use the IRS.gov/forms web page that proudly says they have thousands of forms and booklets, a place to put in the title of what you need and getting cute replies like "Not Found" due to the fact that you cannot hit on what they decided to call it. A computer disc could be used to download changes in the tax law that have occurred since the book was published. I could go on but must say that other tax books I have used fall short of this one in being up to date and in being organized and complete.. At least this book gives lots of examples of real life cases. . . . . .
