My restless legs and sluggish intestines are things of the past! I am doing a nutritional ketosis diet which was resulting sluggish intestines. While researching possible solutions, I found that most of us are mag deficient which affects so many of our systems. Magnesium and calcium work in partnership in our bodies. They should be had in a ratio of 1:1. If the RDA for calcium is 1000mg, we should also be having 1000mg of magnesium. Many of our foods are fortified with calcium, but not magnesium. This results in an excess of calcium in our diets which further depletes the limited magnesium that is available as a result of depleted soil and deficient digestion, especially as we get older.
